Mavy's Chili Garlic Chicken FTW!

I feel like I might have just tasted the best garlic chicken so far. Really.

For the thumbnail. Apparently, this is the only food photo in landscape orientation that we got. Hehe

Four days ago, we stumbled upon this new (more than a week young) chicken house somewhere in Dadiangas East (read 'til the end hehe).

It's actually just a small place styled to appear kinda outdoor-ish or garden-y (wow ang poor ng vocab ko sa adjectives sorry po haha), I think, with wooden tables and chairs, and faux grass flooring. Let us just let the photos "do the talking". Haha

Now the food... I T ' S  W O R T H  E V E R Y  P E N N Y. They offer budget meals, swak and sulit for students. For a minimum of 30 php, you can already have a rice meal. I tried their chili garlic chicken and it's the best, my friends. Highly recommended! đź’Ż

See more photos below for the other prices.

What makes their chicken better than the other garlic chicken recipes, aside from the "chili" of course, is that the taste lingers up to the meat itself. Nanunuot ang lasa, di lang hanggang balat, bes. Haha. Plus the rice... it's not like others' small serving size. Definitely sulit.

What we had: chili garlic chicken and lemonade

Aside from the fried and garlic chicken meals, they also have chicken sisig. They also offer snacks like fries, nachos, and pika-pika which is basically a variety of snacks or finger-food. They also have other refreshment like halo-halo.

Their drinks are affordable, still budget-friendly. But if the drinks no longer fit your tight budget, there's no need to worry. They serve a pitcher of free ice-cold water to each table. Hehe.

There weren't many customers when we went there. In fact we were the only customers when we arrived. According to the in charge, peak hours are from 4pm to 7pm.

uhm daz me doing ze mirror-fie ehe

And, oh, I almost forgot. You wouldn't be using spoon and fork while dining, which I think is kinda fun. Haha. They'll offer you disposable plastic gloves so you won't have to eat with your bare hands.

Tbh, it took me a while before nag-sink in na what the kuya's handing us were the gloves that we were gonna use. Hahaha. Didn't see it coming.

Mavy's Chicken House, located at Camia St. (in front of GenSan College of Technology), Brgy. Dadiangas East GSC, opened last February 28. They are open from 11am to 9pm. For more details or inquiries, you may check their Facebook page.

Trivia: The owner named the place after his baby (who's still on its way, btw). Sweet daddy, right?
