A Different Perspective in Davao's Upside Down House Museum

Have you ever soon those photos in the internet of houses or attractions built upside down? I bet you have. And while you were at it, you somehow wished you could one day visit and check them out, but you couldn't because they were up in Luzon or Visayas, while your here in Mindanao.

Worry no more, because Davao City finally has it's first ever upside down house museum! And and and today, I finally got the chance to visit the newest attraction in the city. Yey! How cool is that? Haha!

The sissums in the baby's room

According to the owners, Davao's Upside Down House Museum was inspired by the two-storey Upside Down House Museum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and was constructed soon after their trip in Malaysia. The museum, which was launched last December 20 2017, features the upside down perspective of 11 different rooms/areas of a typical house.

Thank you tito James and tita Michelle (both in the middle) for funding this trip. Haha! #ParaSaBlog

When we first went there yesterday, the waiting time was almost 2 hours which is why we decided to postpone our tour. Today, when we arrived, we only had to wait for less than an hour. The waiting time may seem kinda long, but it is totally worth it! Btw, you'll have to wear your socks. But if you haven't (at that moment, of course), you can buy a pair for 25php.

They also sell souvenirs such us mugs and refrigerator magnets, and snacks in case you get thirsty or hungry while waiting.

As you enter the house, you will be guided by one of their staff. Not only will the staff guide you, he/she will also help you in achieving the perfect photos for your Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter accounts because #FeedGoals ... Haha! They will suggest epic poses to match the upside down theme of the house. You can pretend like your falling to the ground, doing yoga in the ceiling, crawling on the wall like a giant lizard, acting like you're Spiderman, and many more! The guide will willingly suggest ideas and even take photos of you and your family or friends.

Me, the giant lizard? or whatever

The museum is open daily from 8AM to 5PM on regular days. But for this holiday season, they are open from 9AM to 9PM. Upside Down House Museum is located at Dacudao Avenue, in front of POEA/DOLE office building. Entrance fee is 250php for adults, and 150php for kids below three (3) feet. For more details, you may visit their Facebook page.
