Wanderlust Vibes at Maps & Cups Café x Bistro

As we walked along the dark streets in GenSan, gloomy, after a dreadful wave of major exams, we accidentally discovered a new spot along Laurel North corner Recto Avenue, at the side of the Herceda-Lazara Bldg. Although I believe that there was a different coffee shop situated around that area before, I think that this café is kinda new (maybe because I haven’t heard of it from anyone before LOL).

Maps & Cups Café x Bistro is a nice place to hang out for those feeling travel junkies out there. It is a travel-slash-adventure-inspired cozy café that would surely attract customers for its ‘Instagrammable’ or ‘Instagram-worthy’ theme and interiors. Of course, aside from the aesthetics, they offer food and drinks that are not only delicious, but also budget-friendly.

There are actually a lot of food options to choose from. They serve all-day breakfast meals, rice bowls, burgers, pasta, pika-pika, and dessert. Of course, what is a travel-inspired café without foreign dishes, right? There are Korean, Japanese, Mexican, and other foreign dishes to choose from. As for the drinks, they have juice, tea, frappe, soda, alcoholic beverage, and hot beverages. (You may wanna check out their menu below.)

We ordered Chicken Teriyaki and Black Pepper Beef (both with free iced tea).

When we went there, we were the only customers which gave us the freedom to just walk and talk and take pictures of the place without being conscious of other people. LOL. If you plan on going alone, there’s actually a cute spot around the corner where you can sit on the mat (on the floor, of course LOL) and peacefully enjoy your cup of coffee and dessert or read a book under the cherry blossom tree *winks*.

And oh, before I forget… they have free Wifi. Yipee.

Maps & Cups Café x Bistro is open from 9 AM to 10 PM, Mondays to Saturdays. For more details, you may visit their Facebook page or contact them at (083) 305-0014.
